An icon pack is a set of key images you can pick from inside the Stream Deck app. Installing one takes a few seconds, and the icons then sit in your library next to Elgato's own, ready for any key, folder or profile.
Before you start
If you bought it on qaemdev.com
Download the pack
Your receipt email has the download link, and the same link is on your order page. You'll get a single .streamDeckIconPack file.
Open it
Double-click the file. The Stream Deck app opens and installs the pack, then shows it in your icon library. There's nothing to unzip and no folder to find.
If double-clicking does nothing, the file isn't associated with the Stream Deck app yet: right-click it, choose Open with, and pick Elgato Stream Deck.
If you bought it on the Elgato Marketplace
Install from your library
Open the Stream Deck app and go to the Marketplace tab, then My library. Your purchase is listed there; press Install.
Or install from the web
On the pack's Marketplace page, press Install. Your browser hands the pack to the Stream Deck app, which installs it.
Put an icon on a key
Pick a key
Drag any action onto a key, or select a key you already use.
Open the icon picker
In the key's settings on the right, click the image under Icon, then choose Select icon….
Choose the pack
The pack's name is in the list on the left of the picker. Click it to see every icon in it, then click the one you want.
Icons are per key, so a pack costs nothing in performance and you can mix packs freely across profiles.
Good to know
- Packs survive updates. Installed packs stay in your library when the Stream Deck app updates, and they move with your profiles.
- Any key size. The icons are square and scale to every Stream Deck model, including the XL and the Stream Deck +'s touch strip.
- Removing a pack. In the Stream Deck app, open the Marketplace tab, find the pack under My library, and choose Uninstall. Keys that used one of its icons keep the image they already had.
Troubleshooting
The pack doesn't show in the picker
Close and reopen the Stream Deck app. It reads its icon library at startup, so a pack installed while the app was mid-session occasionally needs the restart.
Double-clicking the file opens the wrong app
Another program has claimed .streamDeckIconPack files. Right-click the file, choose Open with → Choose another app, pick Elgato Stream Deck, and tick Always use this app.
I bought it here and want it on a second computer
Use the same download link again. There's no activation and no key to enter, so the pack installs on every computer you own.
