System monitor widgets for Windows

EdgeOS puts CPU, GPU, memory, disk and network cards with live graphs on your desktop or the XENEON EDGE, free. Temperatures, fans, clocks and power go in the free Sensors widget: CPU temperature comes from HWiNFO, and GPU temperature from the NVIDIA driver or HWiNFO. Live FPS while you play is Game mode, in Premium.

EdgeOS is ours. HWiNFO, Windows and the other tools checked 26 Oct 2026.

The widgets

Every one is a built-in EdgeOS widget, on any monitor or the Edge, at any size. Each links to its options.

CPU temperature when iCUE won't show it

EdgeOS reads temperatures from HWiNFO, not from iCUE, so it shows them whether you run it in Desktop Mode or inside iCUE in Widget Mode.

Out of the way in games

EdgeOS can pause by itself while a game is full screen or your CPU or GPU is busy. That's free.

Another PC's stats

Remote PC, in Premium, shows a second PC's load, temperatures and game FPS over your network, for a streaming or work PC beside your gaming one.

Common questions

How do I show CPU temperature on my Windows 11 desktop?
Install EdgeOS and HWiNFO, turn on HWiNFO's Shared Memory Support and leave it running, then put EdgeOS's Sensors widget on your desktop and choose CPU temperature as one of its readings.
Is there a free system monitor widget for Windows 11?
Yes. EdgeOS's CPU, GPU, Memory, Disk, Network activity and Sensors widgets are free, with live graphs, on any monitor.
Why doesn't EdgeOS show my CPU temperature?
CPU temperature comes from HWiNFO. Check that HWiNFO is running with Shared Memory Support on. HWiNFO's free version turns Shared Memory off after 12 hours, so switch it on again if the reading stops.
Can I see CPU and GPU temperature on the XENEON EDGE?
Yes. Put EdgeOS's Sensors widget on the Edge, in Desktop Mode or in Widget Mode inside iCUE, and choose CPU and GPU temperature as its readings.
Can I see FPS on a second monitor while I play?
Yes, with EdgeOS Premium. Game mode shows the game, live FPS, 1% lows, a frame-time graph and CPU and GPU load and temperatures.
