Window mirror
Any app window, live on your Edge.
A built-in widget in EdgeOS, the desktop widget app for Windows 10 and 11. Put it on any monitor or on the CORSAIR XENEON EDGE, at any size, next to your other widgets. It's part of EdgeOS Premium, a one-time $19.99 upgrade.
What you can set
- Window
- Show as
- Real window · Mirror
- Real window: the app itself moves onto the Edge and sits in this tile. It is sharp, you can touch and type in it, it costs nothing extra, and its own zoom (Ctrl + and Ctrl −) sets the text size. Give the tile some Padding (Appearance) to frame it with the tile's background and border. It leaves your main screen while the tile shows it and goes back when the tile goes. Desktop Mode only: in Widget Mode and in previews it shows as a mirror. Mirror: a live picture of the window, which stays where it is.
- Follow
- The app · This window only
- The app: the window you picked while it is open, otherwise the app's largest window, so it keeps working when the title changes. This window only: just a window with that title.
- Switcher on the tile
- A bar on the tile with your starred apps and Real window / Mirror. Tap an app to show it; tap the one showing for every open window, where the star adds an app to the bar. Its look is under Layout: Switcher, Real window / Mirror and Window list.
- Switcher place
- Top · Bottom
- Focus the app when you switch
- The app you switch to on the tile takes the keyboard, so you can type in it straight away. As a mirror it also comes to the front on its own screen.
- Fit
- Fit inside · Fill · Stretch
- Position
- Center · Top · Bottom · Left · Right
- Which part shows when Fill crops the window.
- Frame rate
- 10 · 30 · 60
- Frames a second at most. A window that is not changing sends none.
- Picture quality
- Low · Normal · High · Very high
- High and Very high keep small text and colours crisp. They cost a little more CPU and send more data.
- Zoom
- Off · 1.5× · 2× · 3× · 4×
- Shows part of the window larger, so small text is readable on the Edge. EdgeOS cuts that part out of the full-size window, so it stays sharp.
- Across
- Which part to show: 0 is the left edge, 100 the right.
- Down
- Which part to show: 0 is the top, 100 the bottom.
- What it uses
- Show the mouse pointer
- Keep the tile's padding
- Show the app's name
- Tapping the picture
- Does nothing · Brings the window to the front
Parts you can restyle
Each part can be resized, given its own colour, font and background, or hidden, under Customize → Layout.
- Picture
- App name
- Messages
- Switcher
- Real window / Mirror
- Window list
Common questions
- Is the EdgeOS Window mirror widget free?
- No, Window mirror is a Premium widget. EdgeOS itself is free; Premium is an optional one-time upgrade of $19.99, with no subscription, that adds Window mirror and the other Premium widgets.
- Do I need a XENEON EDGE to use the Window mirror widget?
- No. EdgeOS runs on any monitor on Windows 10 or 11, and on the CORSAIR XENEON EDGE in Desktop Mode or, inside iCUE, in Widget Mode.
- What can I change on the Window mirror widget?
- 18 options, such as window, show as, follow and switcher on the tile. They're grouped as window, zoom, picture, resources and behaviour. Every widget also takes your own font, text size and look.
- Can I move or hide parts of the Window mirror widget?
- Yes. Its parts (picture, app name, messages, switcher, real window / mirror and window list) can each be resized, restyled or hidden under Customize → Layout.
