Set up Dynamic Island

Turn on the Dynamic Island module in Qaem Hub, import the widget on your XENEON EDGE and pick what the island shows.

Updated 19 Oct 2026

Dynamic Island puts one small pill on your XENEON EDGE that shows what's going on right now and opens with a tap: the song playing, a focus session, your next meeting, your PC's stats, and alerts that come and go. The widget gets what it shows through Qaem Hub, a free app for Windows that reads it on your PC. You install Qaem Hub, turn on its Dynamic Island module, then import the widget in iCUE.

Before you start

Setup

Install Qaem Hub and turn on Dynamic Island

  1. Download Qaem Hub Setup.exe and run it. It installs for your Windows account and starts with Windows. The Qaem Hub setup guide covers the installer and the SmartScreen warning.
  2. In Qaem Hub, open Add modules, select Dynamic Island and click Install selected.

If you don't see Dynamic Island in the list, skip ahead: when the widget is on your EDGE, it says Turn on Dynamic Island in Qaem Hub. Tap Open Qaem Hub, and Qaem Hub opens with the module already picked. More about the app is on the Qaem Hub page.

Add the modules for what you want to see

The Dynamic Island module covers now playing, volume and microphone, CPU, GPU and temperatures, batteries and Bluetooth devices, the weather, your calendar feeds, downloads, screenshots and a game's frame rate. Six activities come from your other QaemDev widgets and their Qaem Hub modules. For each one you want, import its widget in iCUE and add its module from Add modules in Qaem Hub:

  • Discord calls: the Deckord widget and Deckord Helper.
  • Browser tabs: the Browser Media Controls widget and Browser Media Controls Helper, with the Browser Media Controls extension in your browser.
  • Live scores: the Football widget and Football.
  • OBS recording and streaming: the OBStream widget and OBS Studio.
  • Kick: the Kickify widget and Kickify.
  • Slack mentions and DMs: the Slack Connect widget and Slack Connect.

Each one connects only when you own its widget and turn it on in the island's settings. You can add them later.

Get and import the widget

  1. Get the .icuewidget file from the Elgato Marketplace. If you bought Dynamic Island here on qaemdev.com, it's under Account → Downloads. The product page links to both.
  2. Double-click the file, and iCUE imports it.
  3. If nothing happens, open iCUE, go to the Widgets section for your EDGE, use the + button and choose the file.

Place it

Drag Dynamic Island onto a screen area of your EDGE, any size. The island takes the side of the tile that matches where the tile sits: at the top of the EDGE it hangs from the top, in the bottom-right corner it sits bottom right, and so on. To pin it to a corner instead, change Place in the widget's settings in iCUE.

Allow the widget in Qaem Hub

The first time the widget reaches Qaem Hub, it shows Allow this widget in Qaem Hub and a 4-digit code. Qaem Hub shows the widget's name and a code too.

  1. Check that the two codes match.
  2. Click Allow in Qaem Hub.

Make it yours

The main settings are beside the layout in iCUE: Place, Style (Floating, From the edge or Squarer), Size, the island's colour, opacity and glass, text and accent colours, border and shadow, or Follow iCUE screen colours.

For the rest, tap the tile beside the island, then the gear. There you set:

  • What it shows, in the order you want: now playing, Discord, football, focus sessions, your next meeting, weather, CPU and GPU, temperatures, batteries, Bluetooth devices, game FPS, OBS, Kick, Slack, downloads, screenshots and clips, a custom status and the clock. Each has its own settings.
  • Alerts: which ones show for a moment and go, such as volume and microphone, a new song, goals, joining and leaving voice, low battery, a device connecting and running hot.
  • When several are going on: a second and third bubble beside the island, two things in one pill, or take turns. The list decides or the newest wins.
  • Rules: urgent things first, quiet hours, hiding the island while a game is in front, and rules of your own.

Good to know

  • Your next meeting comes from calendar feeds: paste the private iCal address of your Google, Outlook or iCloud calendar in the island's settings. Online meetings get a Join button.
  • Live scores, with the Football widget, follow the teams you follow there, or teams you pick right in the island.
  • Temperatures need HWiNFO with Shared Memory Support on, or an NVIDIA graphics card.
  • Nothing leaves your PC. Qaem Hub reads what's playing, your volume and your sensors on your computer and hands them to the widget.

Troubleshooting

The widget says Qaem Hub isn't running

Tap Start Qaem Hub, or open it from the tray or the Start menu. If it isn't installed, Get Qaem Hub takes you to the download.

It says Turn on Dynamic Island in Qaem Hub

Tap Open Qaem Hub, then add the Dynamic Island module or switch it on in Library.

It says Update Qaem Hub for the Dynamic Island

Tap Get the update and install the newest Qaem Hub.

It says Qaem Hub said no to this widget

You clicked Deny in Qaem Hub. Open Dynamic Island's details in Qaem Hub and click Reset under Widgets, then allow it.

It says Needs Deckord, Needs Football or another widget

That activity comes from its own QaemDev widget. Tap Get to get it, then import it in iCUE on the same PC. The activity lights up by itself.

Discord, a browser tab, OBS, Kick or Slack doesn't show

Check that its widget is in iCUE, that its module is added in Qaem Hub and that it's turned on in the island's settings. Discord needs the Discord app running, browser tabs need the Browser Media Controls extension, and Kick and Slack need you signed in through their modules.
